When a Rune Word is made, the item's name is changed to the Rune Word's name. Rune Words do not make a comeback in Diablo III.

However, there are generally accepted best items for the mercenary. No single Runeword is going to be best in slot for everyone (outside of possibly the #1 entry on this list). There are certain Runewords that make perfect sense for one class and don't work at all for another.
